Are you looking for a family friendly New Years Eve Event in Manchester? If so, we’ve got you covered! Join us here at the IWHC from 6-9pm on New Years Eve, for our family friendly NYE party.
The evening will begin with a kids disco and entertainment from 6-9pm. Then from 9pm-1am, our DJ will keep the party going for everyone, and we’ll see in the New Year, together!
This Family Friendly New Years Eve Party is taking place in our large Munster Hall space, which has its own well stocked bar. Because it’s a private event, children of all ages are permitted to attend. We’ll have plenty of soft drinks and bar snacks available on the night, too. (Hot food availability to be confirmed).
Tickets must be purchased in advance. They cost £10 per person, and while children of all ages are permitted to attend this private event, they will all require a ticket to do so.
You can get your tickets by popping into the IWHC or phoning 0161 697 4105 between 9am-5pm weekdays. Alternatively, you can email us your contact details to bookings@iwhc.com and we’ll call you back to make the booking. (Payment in full is required to reserve your tickets).
Tickets are limited, and we expect this event to sell out fast, so we highly recommend getting yours ASAP!
You can find The Irish World Heritage Centre at 1 Irish Town Way, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, M8-0AE. We’re located right next door to Queens Road Metrolink Station, and have a large, free car park available. (Please don’t drink and drive)! We’re a ten minute walk from both Rochdale Road and Cheetham Hill road, too.

Don’t want to pay double fare for taxis on New Years Eve? Why not have a look at Nui Hotel, which is directly opposite us.
Our much-loved Breakfast with Santa event is back for 2024! If your kids would love the chance to tuck into a cooked breakfast and meet the big guy himself, this is the event for you! Put Saturday 14th December 2024 in your diary, and book your tickets asap!
Breakfast With Santa at the IWHC is £10 per person. That includes a cooked breakfast, (which is served carvery style), plus the chance to meet Santa & take photos. Children will of course get a gift, too.
Please note, drinks are not included, but the bar and cafe will be open, so plenty of hot and cold drinks are available.
Following feedback last year, we’re running the event differently for 2024. There are 3 time slots available. The time slots are:
When you book, you will choose a time slot, and should arrive at the session start time. When you arrive, you’ll be seated and provided with your breakfasts. (Drinks are not included in the ticket price, but can be purchased in the bar or cafe).
After you’ve eaten, you’ll have the chance to get your photos with Santa, and children will receive their gift. You’ll then have the opportunity to enjoy further drinks and snacks in the cafe or our outdoor seating area if you’d like to stay longer.
We have plenty of free parking available, and we are located right next door to Queens Road Metrolink Station, if you don’t want to drive.
Our Breakfast With Santa sessions sold out before December last year, so be sure to book your slots ASAP, to avoid disappointment!
Please call 0161 697 4105 between 9am-5pm on weekdays, or email your contact details to bookings@iwhc.com to secure your places – Someone will call you back to make your booking. Please note, payment is required at the time of booking.

We are celebrating Bonfire Night in style this year! Not content with one free Bonfire Night fireworks display in Manchester, we’re hosting TWO! Following the sad news that Manchester City Council have cancelled their events for a second year, lots of people are looking for a free Bonfire Night fireworks display in Manchester, so we wanted to help.
Both of our events are free fireworks displays – we will not have a bonfire. There will also be a funfair on-site. (Times and prices of that are still to be confirmed).
Why not join us on Sunday 3rd November 2024 from around 7pm for our first FREE Fireworks display. The second event is on Tuesday 5th November at 7pm.
On Sunday 3rd November, we will be serving Sunday Roasts in the Wild Geese Bar from 1-5pm, like we do every Sunday. So why not head over for that, before enjoying the display? The Funfair will also be open. (That is not free – Times and prices TBC).
We will have the funfair outside, and traditional Bonfire Night food available inside the IWHC on Bonfire Night (Tuesday 5th November).
While it’s free to enter The Irish World Heritage Centre and watch the fireworks on both nights, the funfair is not free, so make sure you’ve got plenty of change with you, as there’s no cashpoint on site. Food and drinks served inside the IWHC can be paid for with cash or card.
Please note, no tickets are required to enjoy the fireworks display. We recommend you dress for the weather, but we do have some covered space to watch outside, thanks to our covered patio area. Rain won’t stop play, but please keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.
Parking is free both nights, but will be very limited, as the funfair is situated on half of our carpark. Our address is 1 Irish Town Way, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, M8-0AE.
We are right next door to Queens Road Metrolink Station, so we’d recommend getting the tram, wherever possible. A weekend family Metrolink ticket is £9.50 and valid from 6pm on Friday until 23.59 Sunday. 2 adults and 3 children can travel on one, so it’s great value.
Please don’t park on the Nu Hotel carpark opposite the centre – It’s for their customers only, and they’ve issued fines in the past.
Colette over at Going on an Adventure has compiled a fab list of local Bonfire Night events – it’s worth checking out if you’re hoping to attend events in the run up to Bonfire Night itself. We hope to see you at our free Bonfire Night fireworks display in Manchester on Sunday 5th November!
Our Christmas Dinner 2024 Menu is complete, and we are open for bookings! We are accepting bookings for guests arriving between 1pm and 3pm on Christmas Day. Keep reading for all of the information!
The 2024 Christmas Dinner Menu consists of:
We have done our best to keep costs as low as possible, while still ensuring our staff are sufficiently compensated for giving up their Christmas Day to work.
(If children prefer, they can have Chicken Nuggets and Chips, instead of a traditional Christmas dinner, and an Ice Cream Sundae for dessert. Due to the limited table availability and increased overheads associated with opening on Christmas Day, this will still be £30 per child for those aged 2-11. (Please let us know in advance if your child would prefer this option, so we can cater accordingly).
We will swap out the regular gravy and bread roll for a GF option where required – This must be requested ahead of time, so we can ensure we have enough on the day. We cannot offer Gluten Free Yorkshire Puddings or Stuffing as our kitchen isn’t big enough to safely accommodate this.
Vegetarian Gravy is served with the Nut Roast. We cannot provide vegetarian pigs in blankets, due to limited kitchen space, but all of our dessert options are Vegetarian.
You can book by popping into the centre or calling 0161 697 4105 between 9am-5pm on weekdays, or emailing bookings@iwhc.com to request a callback.
PLEASE NOTE: A £10 per person deposit is required to reserve your Christmas Dinner 2024 table. This must be paid by Friday 29th November 2024 to secure your booking. Failure to pay on time will mean you lose your reservation.
Please let us know of any dietary requirements when you book your Christmas Dinner 2024 table.

The Manchester St Patricks Day Parade 2024 is back at the Irish World Heritage Centre this year! The parade will once again depart from The Irish World Heritage Centre on Sunday 10th March 2024, and there will be a full day of celebrations.
There is a Manchester St Patrick’s Day Parade 2024 planning meeting at the IWHC on Tuesday 23rd January at 7pm. If you’d like to contribute ideas, or volunteer on the day, please come along!
This year’s parade will leave the IWHC, turn Left onto Queens Road, then left onto Cheetham Hill Road. The parade will then go straight up to the AO Arena, passing Manchester Fort, before turning round, and heading back to the IWHC. The parade route is roughly 2.5 miles long, and took around 2 hours to complete last year.
Queens Road and Cheetham Hill road were closed along the parade route from 11.30am-2pm last year, so expect the same this year.
Last year, parade attendees had the chance to carry their County’s flag. They were allocated on a first come first served basis, and lots of parade attendees loved carrying them.
Groups who want to join the parade with a parade float MUST register beforehand. Please email bookings@iwhc.com with your information and contact details – Last year, we welcomed groups from all communities, who wanted to join in the celebrations. It was wonderful to see the community come together to celebrate St Patrick. We can’t wait to do it all again this year.
