If you’re looking for a Children’s Irish Dance class in Manchester, the Irish World Heritage Centre can help!
Justine Ward-Mallinson welcomes young dancers of any level of ability to learn Irish Dancing, including complete beginners. Children from age 4 are welcome. Her classes involve learning dances such as the reel, the jig, the slip jig, and the hornpipe.
On Mondays, beginners age 4+ are welcome from 6pm – 7pm. From 7pm to 8.30pm, it’s time more experienced dancers to practice.
On Tuesdays, the age 4+ beginners class runs from 6pm – 7pm. From 7pm to 8.30pm, it’s an open dancers session.
There’s no upper age limit on these classes, so adults can dance too!
These classes are aimed at under 18’s. Please contact Justine Ward-Mallinson for more information and prices. You can reach her on 07984118725 or email her at justinewm@icloud.com
There is plenty of free parking at the Irish World Heritage Centre, and we are located right next door to Queens Road Metrolink Station.
Comhaltas preserve and promote Irish traditional music. So if you’re keen to learn how to play Traditional Irish Musical Instruments, this is the class for you. As well as learning to play traditional Irish instruments, you’ll also get written music tuition.
Children’s classes are on Mondays from 6pm.
Adult (18+) classes are every Monday, from 7pm.
The two classes will blend together in the middle, so the kids and adults can enjoy learning together.
These classes offer you the chance to learn how to play many traditional Irish musical instruments. This includes the Tin-whistle, Bodhrán (large drum), Celtic Harp, Uilleann Pipes, and the fiddle.
Please contact stwilfridscce@mail.com or 07960101100 with any queries, or check out the Comhaltas website.
