The Manchester St Patricks Day Parade 2024 is back at the Irish World Heritage Centre this year! The parade will once again depart from The Irish World Heritage Centre on Sunday 10th March 2024, and there will be a full day of celebrations.
There is a Manchester St Patrick’s Day Parade 2024 planning meeting at the IWHC on Tuesday 23rd January at 7pm. If you’d like to contribute ideas, or volunteer on the day, please come along!
Will we get such good weather for the Manchester St Patricks Day Parade 2024?
This year’s parade will leave the IWHC, turn Left onto Queens Road, then left onto Cheetham Hill Road. The parade will then go straight up to the AO Arena, passing Manchester Fort, before turning round, and heading back to the IWHC. The parade route is roughly 2.5 miles long, and took around 2 hours to complete last year.
Queens Road and Cheetham Hill road were closed along the parade route from 11.30am-2pm last year, so expect the same this year.
Claddagh Adult Irish Dance
Last year, parade attendees had the chance to carry their County’s flag. They were allocated on a first come first served basis, and lots of parade attendees loved carrying them.

We asked groups who wanted to register a parade float to email bookings@iwhc.com with their information and contact details – We welcomed groups from all communities, who wanted to join in the celebrations. It was wonderful to see the community come together to celebrate St Patrick.
The IWHC was packed out all day. The entertainment kept the party atmosphere going all day, and it was a great craic. Last orders was called at 7pm, and the day ended on a huge high.
We’d just like to thank everyone who took part in the parade, watched it, and came back to the IWHC as well. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.
